Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) is a traditional herb originating from the Indian sub continent. Preferring a tropical climate, this perennial plant has pretty purple flowers, although typically it is the leaf that is enjoyed.
Tulsi has been revered for thousand of years for both professional health and religious purposes. It is often referred to as the ‘elixir of life’ and considered by many, in Ayurveda Traditional herbalism, to be the most sacred of herbs used.
Some traditional uses of Tulsi (Holy Basil) include:
Perfect in salad dressings, mayonnaise, pesto, dips, drizzled over veggies at the table or try adding 20mL to your water bottle, juices & smoothies.
