Hilde Hemmes Swedish Bitters Tincture.

Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to maintain/support general health and wellbeing

Oral use: Swedish Bitters has been traditionally used in western herbal medicine as a bitter tonic to support healthy digestion and to relieve digestive discomfort and symptoms of indigestion. Swedish Bitters also contains Aloe traditionally used as a stimulant laxative to relieve constipation and Black cohosh traditionally used to relieve menstruation pain and promote menstrual flow, in western herbal medicine.

External use: Swedish Bitters has been traditionally used in western herbal medicine to cleanse minor skin cuts, scratches and abrasions.

Gargle: Swedish Bitters has been traditionally used in western herbal medicine as a gargle to relieve symptoms of sore throat and toothache.

Shake well before use. Store below 30 degrees celcius (do not refrigerate).

Oral use - Adults - take 20ml in 100ml of water, juice, or herb tea 30 minutes before meals three times daily.

External use - Adults - soak a piece of gauze with product and apply to the affected area for 2-12 hours, covering with a bandage.

Gargle - Adults - add 20ml to 100ml of lukewarm water, swish the solution in the mouth, gargle, and swallow, twice daily.

Rheum officinale (Rhubarb) tincture 1.43ml from dry root & rhizome 133.34mg

Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh)* tincture 1.43ml from dry stem bark oleoresin 85.72mg

Curcuma zedoaria (Zedoary)* tincture 1.43ml from dry rhizome       152.38mg

Fraxinus ornus (Manna ash) tincture 1.43ml from dry stem bark oleoresin 133.34mg

If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Use in children under 12 years is not recommended. Drink plenty of water. Prolonged use may cause serious bowel problems. Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present, or if you develop diarrhoea. Do not take if pregnant or breastfeeding without the advice of a healthcare professional. Warning: In rare cases, valerian may harm the liver & in very rare cases, black cohosh has been associated with liver failure. Stop using this product & see a doctor if you have or are experiencing yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, or unusual: dark urine, itching, nausea, vomiting, tiredness / fatigue, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, and / or loss of appetite.
