BEFORE Installation
This step is important before installation to ensure correct water flow when filter is installed.
1) Place filter upside down in a glass of water overnight.
2) Remove from the water the following morning and shake for about 10 seconds.
Installation
Install gravity filter candle within the top chamber of your filter system. Gently hand tighten the plastic nut underneath.

After installation, before consumption
Flush the gravity filter candle before consumption by allowing a 2-4 litres of water to pass through the ceramic filter to remove any of the loose activated carbon particles.
Dispose of the first few litres of filtered water that may contain fine carbon particles. The fine particles are harmless and are a result of the manufacturing process.
Initial taste of water with a new filter
It’s normal to notice a slight metallic or earthy taste when using a new filter for the first time. This taste is caused by the carbon inside the filter.
The level of this initial taste can vary slightly from batch to batch, depending on the natural characteristics of the carbon. Some customers may notice no taste at all, while others might experience a mild to strong taste initially. Even those who haven’t noticed a taste in the past may experience it with a new filter at some point. This is completely normal and expected.
The taste typically fades within 1–2 weeks of regular use, which is approximately 28–56 litres of water (based on using around 4 litres per day). Flushing a few extra litres each day can help speed up the process if desired.
Rest assured, the water is safe to drink during this period, and the taste will gradually fade with continued use.
Ceramic Filter Appearance
Due to the nature of ceramic materials, these filters may have minor cosmetic imperfections, such as small scratches or chips. Rest assured, these imperfections do not affect the filter’s performance or durability.
